Paula M. Rivard
Paula Margaret Rivard was a thoughtful, creative independent woman who conducted her life with great integrity, responsibility and playful humor. She lived her life in the belief that "I create it all." No matter what life circumstances you are handed, you are responsible for how you choose to deal with them.
Raised in an all female household after her father died when Paula was five, Paula and her older sister learned from her mother and grandmother that effort enables you to survive and succeed. She learned from her mother’s disappointment of not being able to afford college, that education was essential to creating a better life. Paula went on to earn a master’s degree in counseling from Seton Hall University. Paula worked as an administrator and teacher at four colleges, where she consistently emphasized the value of education and hard work in creating a good life.
